I got a new motor this winter its an 08 with a sparks ported head and the Sparks CP 15:1 piston, among other things..
Anyways, it had a brand new crank in it but with less than five hours on it I started noticing brass in the oil filter (not a lot but enough to bug me). I decided to take the motor apart and can't see anything wrong with the crank at all. I'm not sure if maybe the person before me had something go and there was just brass left over or what...
I was thinking maybe the cage inside the crank is going but I can't really tell without pressing it apart.. Just looking for some feedback on what other people think may be going on before i buy another crank.
