Well... Yesterday... i went to a buddies house to go riding... thru the powerlines... I'll say... very muddy... very big puddles... rivers... swamps... what you want to call them is fine.... but anyways... to continue down the trails we've crossed a bit of deep water... several times... my question is this... does having the engine under water damage it?? does it suck water into the transmission case?? oil?? anything i'm missing??? anything else i should look for??? the water was probably a few inches below the seat... thanks for any help....

While I am not going to say it is the best thing to do all the time, it shouldn't cause a problem.. Check your engine oil, see if it is milky looking. If not your fine. I have had my bike in the same situations in the past, never had a prob, even sucked water into the carb a few times.. The engine will be fine under water, so long as what you said doesn't happn( water in the oil. trans)
