ODI grips hitting throttle

just put on a set of ODI grips and love them but the lock ring hits my throttle and keeps me from sliding it close enough to my hand, can I put a throttle on from something else, like maybe a 400ex????

I know what you mean. I just started to ride with my first finger on the lock ring on those grips. The only way I could see making it closer is machining out where the lock ring is on your throttle. I love the grips, but changed back to spiders just for this reason alone.

I realy dont want to switch grips, they are probably the most comfortable I have found yet, will another throttle off something else fit?

WE have ran ODI for years and dont have that issue on ours ??
Maybe Ill take a pic and post it tomorrow. You should still be able to run those grips .
