I have the same Pipe as Rico and I have also Cut Mine.(I did it before Him.:p )

Well I just measured around the hole pipe the distance I wanted to cut off. Then I drew the line around the pipe and cut it witha Hack Saw. Then I marked the new holes for the bolts in the end cap and drilled the new holes.

Pretty simple. Only cut from teh end of the pipe do not cut the end where the header attaches,

Does this effect the power?? how about the sound?? Just wandering. Looks pretty good like that. What kind of pipe was it?

Can anyone offer some specifics on exactly why a chopped pipe performs better?

Rico and 425EX have both said that cutting the pipe adds bottom end power, and more sound....

Yes it definitly makes it Louder and I also called Bills pipes and asked him what would happen if i were to cut it and he said it would add some bottom end and take away from top-end..I did it mainly because I've been rearended a few times and with it being shorter I don't have to worry about it being broke off again or damaging the header pipe from a hard hit. I guess it adds more bottom end and mid range,,My quad always runs strong...:D

Yes you cut off the end by the silencer tip...i believe there's a thread with specific details on this in the FAQ section...;)
