08 400ex with some cool parts

Picked this up about 3 weeks ago, been hooking it up ever since. What do you guys think? I havent done any engine work at all, and probably wont until i replace the shocks. maybe a 42 pilot jet before then. what would you do next?

lose the pink grips lol. Nice looking machine, get a sparks key and enjoy it for a while. then after you are getting bored with it, you can get a quiet slip on, grind the header welds out of it, get a filter, and you will be able to keep a smile on for a while longer. after this it is onto a stage 1 cam with the stock bore, you could even do this with the exhaust if you like. then after that bore it to a 416. Depending on how you ride the 400 shocks will be alright for a while anyway so you can save up for some nice shocks for a while too. lol. Great machine! steve

i would be hesitant to put the 42 pilot in until you start breathing a little more.

Otherwise you may end up having to screw your a/f screw in. the 42 pilot runs kinda rich on a mildy modded machine it will be real rich on a stocker such as yours. i put one in with just a slip on and i was fouling plugs. It sucked!

i see, well what mods would you reccommend for me next?

I dont race, i do alot of woods riding, and messing around with wheelies and stuff.

I am trying to keep it reliable but wouldnt mind hooking it up with solid performance mods.

If there is anything i can do to the engine that will increase its efficiency or durability, I want to do it
