I bought a swing arm used, it was off a 400ex and the kid swore it would fit my 86'. I had it PC'd and now Im trying to assemble it and when I put the pivot side collar and dust seal it doesnt come close to fitting. I was wondering if someone could come up with a measurement of stock or even aftermarket swing arm that definitly fits where the swing arm bolt mounts it to the frame.

Thanks for any help.

Hmm I thought a-arms and swing arm could swap. Thanks for the reply, hopefully a few more people will chime in. I just dremelled the PC off the edges of the swing arm, see if that helps.

Ya the linkage definitly is different, I had the 400ex linkage PC'd then when I put it up I realized wasnt even close.

Did you have a problem with the 250r oem linkage with the 400ex swing arm or the 400ex linkage?

Without the pivot collars its 9" wide, can anyone come up with a measurement of an oem?

I know my cousin put a 86-87 arm on a 400ex. So I don't know why it wouldn't go the other way. I might be missing something.
