yz/wr stator cover on a yfz ?

gona put a kick starter on my yfz can the the factory stator cover be replaced with a yz or wr cover that dosnt have the big bulky space for the starter gear. Dont know much about yamaha's can this be done ?

thats a awesome idea, i got a kick start kit with lever if u need it let me know. if you find out about the case let me know thats good thinkin

I guess I would hafta find out if the stator will bolt up. The bolt patten of the cover looks the same between a wr and yfz but i'm not for sure. If I can pick on up cheap on ebay I'll give it a try. Thought that would clean up the motor a little bit .

I got a kick start kit but I am looking for a for a short kicker if you got one cheap. A yz 250 is what I want I think

it wont fit. i just matched up 2 and the yfz has more bolt holes and the 2 bolts inside that gear cover. also the yfz has to have that breather hose that spits oil now and then. i can get them levers now and then i been gettin them and selling a few for $90 shipped which is 1/2 price of a new one

That sucks that dirt bike cover would look much cleaner on there. I seen in the hybrid forum I guy had what he claimed was a wr crank in 426 cases with a yfz cylinder and head. would be a lot of work but I wounder if it would work
