Wondering what stabilizer works good? It seems that "everyones" traditional stick stabilizer is the same. What is your experience with them and what brand are you running? Definitely a rebuildable one is important.

im running precision (not pro) and I have yet to rebuild it doest go as stiff as I thought it would so it might need rebuild I bought it new and I do like it but I really was expecting more for the money when im in real rough terrain it still jolts quit a bit

The Precision seems quite high priced. I do ride aggressively on trails and practice at the local motocross track on open days. I thought the stick type would be efficient.

ya I really dont recommend precision they are very expensive and i have mine set as high as recommended and I still get that jolt on square stumps they might be good on track but woods not so im looking into other brands also

If you're wanting to go cheap, check out the CNC Billet ones on Ebay. I personally run a GPR and love mine. Also had a Elka system 3 and didn't like it all that much to be honest.

I have a streamline 11 way adjustable one and love it. You are never going to take out all of the jolt they are just there to dampen it. That is why i did not go with the precision i feel like you are just buying the name.

Cheap isn't exactly what I was looking for. I want a good piece of equipment that will last and more importantly work! Plus, when it does need rebuilt, I want to be able to get parts readily available. I looked at a few tonight and they seem to be the same thing. Is it me or what?

GPR top mount style. Seems to be very effective. But I have never run a different one to compare them.

CNC is reasonability priced, not cheaply made. Rebuild kits are $10.00. It is a very well made stabilizer. I love mine. And for a $160.00 shipped, that's hard to compare to others.

I've heard from several sources that it works great, but it's no Precision/Elka/GPR. Good stabilizer for the money no doubt, but it's not THAT good.

I've ran the stick ones for years, and after switching to a Precision I'll never go back, the amount of adjustability is far greater on a puck style dampener than a stick style.

They are very expensive, but don't need to be rebuilt nearly as often. I've had mine for 3 years and haven't rebuilt it yet and it still works like a dream.

The canister style seem more effective than the stick, although anything is better than nothing. Many people over look stabilizers, once you ride with one that is set up decent, there is no going back to having your hands beat to death with ruts and tree roots, etc. I use a WER, not overly expensive and pretty effective. I saw one not too long ago used for $75, which they can be rebuilt by WER for cheap.

I have a precision pro and if i screw the adjusters all the way down i can't turn the bars.

I would send yours in to be serviced.

GPR Top mount owners, can i get some pics and details to how you have it mounted. I have a anti-vibe stem and can't seem to figure out how to mount it.

GPR doesn't make those brackets anymore that mount to the top steering stem bracket. I called them awhile back and they told me I was pretty much screwed since I wanted to use my Z400 GPR that was a top mount system. The guy on the other end could have been full of crap, but thats what he said.
