the 48 will work but it will have to be around 1-1.5 turns out on the f/a screw. If you plan to stick with the 400 carb then get a 42 and put it in there. you will be good with that at around 2 turns out. steve

yeah im just trying to figure out the crapping out problem after she is warmed up , if i turn her off then wait 2 min turn her back on its craps out tell i give it some revs to clear it and then runs fine thats why i put a 48 pilot in there to see if it made a difference i still have the stock 38 pilot, do you think it could be the fuel air screw i could adjust and put the 38 back in and that would stop the crapping out?? or would it be best anyway to put a 42 in there ?? thanks

if you put the 38 back in its gonna make it run lean I would just put a 42 in and go out 2 turns on the fuel screw I think I'm about 2.5 out on mine but to each his own but a 42 pilot would be a good place to start

alright thanks guys i have been trying to get a straight answer for a while , the 48 pilot doesnt seem to crap out as much when you turn it off and then back on but im only about 1.5 turns out , will go and pick up a 42 and go 2 turns out tomorro and see how it runs ,
