how many of these threads are you going to start? everyone who has a bore and does not have 450 carb would most likely be running a stock one. i would say that 95% of people fun a stock carb at least till a 426 if not most with 440s too. My setup for both with my 416 is in my sig. steve

Bottom line is every bike is going to be different. Just get a jet kit from Jets-R-Us and start trying different setups. It took me a good month of swapping out jets and messing with the f/a screw before I found my sweet spot. I'm at 170 main, 52 pilot, needle clip in the middle and 2 1/4 turns on the f/a.

Before I got the 450 carb I was running a 170 main and stock pilot.
That’s with a 416 12/1 p&p stage 2 cam.

yea i was running a 190 main with a 38 pilot in stock carb but was crapping out if you turned it off and back on after 15 min of riding so im trying to find the right pilot size , the 48 doesnt crapp out as much but yet when you give it gas it cuts out so im running to rich , gonna try a 42 i think with the air screw turned 1.5 out and see if that works
