Gas tank nut

I was taking the ferring off my 450 so i could change my carb jets. The 8mm bolt was just spinning round and round. I was finally able to get it out but the entire thing came out. So now i have this fantastic hole. Can I use epoxy to put the bolt housing unit back in, if so what is the best kind anyone has used, or am I screwed and have to get a new tank. Thanks,

It is possible to use epoxy. I've seen it done before with good results. I don't know what kind was used though.

I put some JB weld on both of mine and they have both held up great
