hey guys so like ive been saying, bike craps out if i turn it off and then back on after couple min of sitting . it only does this tho when it is hot. so i took the 450 carb out to check the pilot figured i needed to go down a size or 2 so the fuel could evap. took it out and its a 38 !! already small , i think they make on down to a 35 , so should i get a 35 or what??? need answers



440ex stage 3 cam , full hmf , 450r carb

I don't even know how you're running with a pilot that small. I have a 52 in mine.

I cant believe it will even run with a 38 in it. That is from a 400ex stock carb. I would def suggest going to at least a 48 and see how it does. Mine was way lean with that as was B's. We both ended up at a 52. I tried a 50 and it was still too lean to make it idle correctly. steve

i thought the samething about how the hell is it running, but yeah im goin to get a 48 or a 52 , do you think that would solve my cutting out problem when i turn it off and back on ??

I'd say so. Your engine is probably starving for fuel.

x2 just get the 52 and you will be fine. you can turn the f/a in far enough to get it where you need anyway. steve
