Excuse the dirtiness. Just got back from a weekend trip at the dunes.

looks like a breather filter for automobiles you can find at auto zone.
where does the stock breather hose go?

It's just a crankcase filter I picked up off eBay. K&N makes some but they are like $30. I got that one for $12. The stock hose goes into the air box.
Here's a nice one from BikeBandit: http://www.bikebandit.com/uni-filter-crankcase-breather

Why put a filter on this hose? What is wrong with the stock set up? I, however, think this is not a good idea, looks like it would allow water to enter here, which you dont want.
this is definitely an unnecessary thing to do. take the $12 bucks and put it towards a mod that has some benefit

I didn't do it to look cool. I did it because I don't run an airbox.

i think it looks pretty good , really is the only thing you can do if your not running an airbox i know alot of people who dont run them especially around here , more dune riding , not like were riding through mud holes

Yeah, I'm running no air box and never go through water or mud. If I do, I'll throw the old air box setup back on.
