extra oil cooler install question

I have an extra stock oil cooler and plan on adding it this week, my question is what is the direction of flow of oil, does it pump out of the left side and run through the cooler and return through the right? or is the right side the pressure side and return through the left?

It will pump oil from the engine into the cooler then dump into the tank where it returns to the engine. Right to left.

If you think about it, the system can't suck the oil from the tank...

ok thanks Im out of town and cant look at it right now but if I did I would have realized that, And I think what u mean is it cant suck from the top of the oil tank? Totally agreed I forgot that the tank has a line on the top goin to the cooler so thats the only way it would work, pressure line on right of engine and returns throught the coller and into the tank. It should be an easy install, I live in Louisiana so it gets pretty hot in the summer and looses power, hopefully this will fix that problem, if not Ill put a spal fan.
