i got a 03 honda element... we replaced the wiring on one of are trailers...hooked it up...now for some reason all my dash lights are dead and no fuses are blown.... wtf... last time i used it prior to that they were working...alos noticed with turn signal on the radio light flashes..

You my friend have had a very serious short to ground causing your dash to act like this. Had this happen to a 03 silverado the other day and when you would press brake the windshield wipers would turn on at a rapid rate!

what would cause this ...a short in the trailer wiring??? or could that of just been a coincidence? what do i need to do to fix this? this is the 2nd time ive driven it since having a tailight replaced that was out...

also should it have blown a fuse for the dash lights?

just discovered its a common problem and generally costs 600-1000 to replace the instrument cluster which develops a short...or poor connection...either way dealer is going to hit me hard...i can do without dash lights ...

apparentley honda builds there cars as good as there 450rs and crfs
