just mocked up my crf450 motor in my prp chassis (250r geometry) but the petcock or nozzle coming out of the gas tank hits the valve cover. it is a dubble nozzle (stock 250r) and i need a single nozzle. Does anyone know where i can find this or how to modify mine?

i spaced the tank up, but i had to remake every fender mount. just find a petcock that is physically smaller

i know there is an easier way i know i can cut off the bottom nozzle but dont know what to do with the part that sticks up into the tank. It would be so much easier to just buy this if its made.

You can cut off the bottom of the petcock, and reweld the hole. The part that comes out of the tank can be blocked off with a rubber plug and a clamp

Try the pingel petcock. Have a look, I ordered on for a 400ex/450r to fit the TRX250r tank but had to take a couple thousands out of the plastic in the gas tank hole to fit. I was not using it on a CRF hybrid but check out the picture, it may help.

my crf hybrid uses a crf450r petcock, it JUST clears the motor. When I changed a ims 4 gallon tank, I had to heat and dent in the tank, so petcock doesn't rub on motor.

Hey man just cut the bottom off of the petcock off and tap it with a 1/8 pipe tap and plug it . find a new place for the new pet cock drile it with 5/16 db and use the same tap and thread with a 1/8 pipe thread niple and use a in line off and on valve thats how you do it

It is as simple as this. I ordered one for a 2003 crf450r from yamaha of troy. Cost like 8 bucks + shipping and it bolted right up.

i had the same problem with my daughters trx90/crf150r hybrid all i did was cut the line off just long enough to tap and screw a very short screw in but then youll find out the bottom line is for gas on and top line is for res. so i took a drill that just fit in the top barb and drilled through the inside line so both lines runs out the single barb will post pic if you want
