Is it just tires that make it a supermoto?

tires and wheels. the wheels are 17" front and rear. front tire is a 120/60-17 and the rear is a 160/60-17. u do need different gearing and a different suspention set up. to race u need to safty wire every thing on it

Nice bike, will look a lot better once you're all done and find something to clean the engine cases. One question, is it cheaper to buy a super moto kit with the wheels and bigger front rotor or can you buy wheels from a certain street bike and use its front rotor?

i didnt realy look into what street bike wheels might fit. i pick up these wheels and billet hubs spokes with HD spokes for 650.00.
i have never seen a yzf with stock street bike wheels but i have seen a couple hondas done with street bike wheels

It depends on what bike you have to work with. But you can find deals on actual supermoto wheels if you look long enough. If you're building a KTM, theres a lot of SMR wheels that can be found and what not.
