Any diffrence between the 2005 and 2006 rear shock?

Length or anything?

I know the rear swing arm is +1 inch but is the shock the same?

Also can you run the shock with the resi on the other side of the frame?

My intake runs right where the resi looks like it would be.

The reservoirs are slightly different to make room for the starters on the 06+. You can't turn the shock around, because the reservoir would hit the airbox. I believe they are slightly different length also.

Well, I know this for a fact, you can't run a 04-05 rear shock on a 06-07 450ER. I knocked the schrader valve clean off a 04-05 revalve on my 2007 450ER.

I got most of the info I needed.

I dont have a airbox so thats no problem.

06+ shock length is 15.25 inches to my 400ex's rear of15.5
05 is 14.75 inches.
You can run the shock flipped and it will be fine as long as it clears everything.

I am going to experement with what rear links/dogbones work best and make a write up.
