is my rear shock spent?

I'm just wondering cuz i bought it from someone on here and they told me it was rebuilt. Its a works shock fully adjustable made for a 300 up to 180 lb. rider. I think it might be blown because when i put a lot of pressure on it and let back up it bounces multiple times, and i think its supposed to just come up and stop. I'll try adjusting the res. and see if it helps but the guy said it was rebuilt and im kinda skeptical cuz it really bounces me up and down when I'm riding it over rough terrain like roots and rocks.

Sounds like it's all spring to me. I'd say it needs rebuilt

I send my shocks to GT Thunder. In fact my peps are gettin shipped there tomorrow. They are pretty reasonable and know what they are doing. There are a couple other good places but i dont know who they are off hand. Search the forum and ill bet you find em.
