I am new to the drr scene as I just got on for my son last week and I'm trying to learn as much as I can before we head to the dunes. I've stripped it to the ground and checked everything to see if the meet specs. As I'm reassembling everything was good except the cvt cover gasket. Just curios to why it's need since it's not a sealed piece. Also I'm trying to figure out if it's a stock cdi, how can I tell there's nothing written on it and doesn't have the 2 screws that everyone is talking about to bump up the revs???

Thanks for the reply. I figured it had to be a clearance issue.

Where do they rub? I did not think much about clearance, just used gasket maker on mine. No rubbing as of yet, and think the gasket maker is about gone by now.
