21x12x8- 6-7 paddle haulers

04-19-2010, 01:17 PM
Depends on the type of riding you do. I've never been to Pismo but I don't know what it's like. If it's just some average duning get some 20" 6 paddle haulers. If there's drag's there and you like doing that then go with some 22" 6 paddle haulers or a 9-10 paddle glider.

---Out of all the threads like this it comes down to personal preference regardless. Now there are hill drags where it does matter, but for all around duning it's all about personal preference. I run a 22" 6 paddle padla-brat for shooting the hill, but I run a 20" 9 paddle for duning just because I like it to lift up without putting any effort other than thumb into it.

No, I don't know much about flat drags. I ride Sand Mountain. I won't bother arguing my point with you.

Bottom line- If you're doing hill drags get a 22" 6 paddle with something around a 72 rollout. End of story, no arguing, best there is for hill drags... Period.

Mind meeting me at St anythony so I can prove my point?

Read the countless threads on yfz central and yfz tech. For the hill its a 21. A raptor can roll a 22. Not a YFZ.

A 22 inch glider would work on the yfz though, just not a hauler. Also a 22 inch tire wouild work well if you have an extended swinger too.

If you are running a 22 you are losing mph up the hill. Go start a thread on YFZ tech about running the hill with 22 inch haulers......

22s work on mega horse power bikes and gear down.
20s with a 5 padle is the way to go.
i run regular tires . i dont care for drags anyone can drag if you have money.
mx all the way.

Like I said, I wont bother arguing my point. You can think the 21's are better but I will KNOW the 22's out perform. I will continue running my 22's and beating 95% of the people at Little Sahara.

correct you do beat 95% of the 400ex's. Its cool.

If you were fast would would come to st anthonys. oh well

Lmao. Do some research before you try and argue an invalid point. I've argued it way to many times on this forum. Everytime I prove my point I get people PMing me, "well it looks like you're right." You keep losing, I'll keep winning.

When people haven't ridden at a place where you can't get runs at some of the hills, they really shouldn't be giving info on paddles

Im goin to little Sahara for the first time on May 6-9th. I bought a set of 21x11x9 Kenda Geckos 8 paddles I guess theses will work good enough for me? Im not a real drag guy more mx and xc . Was hoping to find some good jumps and maybe drag some. Anybody ran geckos b4?

04-28-2010, 11:50 PM
I ran Gecko's and I must say I absolutely hated them. They were my first paddle and at first I thought they were fine... Then I tried my buddies haulers and realized how bad the Gecko's were.

Best all around tire is a 21X12X8- 7 paddle hauler

250r4life
05-05-2010, 11:50 PM
i dont know how you can say that without knowing what is important to him...

he may put different weight on things that you do, so without knowing that its impossible to tell him that that is the best all around tire...

Call John and Sand toys or Fullerton Sand sports. They will all say the samething. Even Skat trak will recommend that tire size.

Its amazing what people think they know. And you dont know that much

you're less than intelligent... i dont care what you or john or betty or whoever says...

if im looking for a sand tire and my concerns are

1) price
2) dune-ability
3) durability

then no, your stupid 21 in haulers are not the best all around tire as

1) they are a lot more expensive than molded tires
2) they handle better and turn better
3) seriously, are you going to contend that haulers hold up as long

knowing this you can suggest a tire... but prior to knowing his criteria you cant tell him what the best tire is... that is my point

05-12-2010, 11:48 PM
ldj thinks that because so and so told him something it's the best of the best.... He's a moron.

Just my opinon thats all. Just better floatation with a 21" tire, and smaller enough not to bog down the motor

your problem isnt with an opinion, it is stating something as a fact, especially when you dont know the parameters... i wasnt arguing against your opinion...

in some scenarios a 21 in hauler would be the best, and after you said that the guy asking said that dragging was his most important consideration so indeed that could be the best tire...

however, that being said people waste way too much money in trying to get every possible ounce of quickness out of their bike, completely ignoring (or i guess trying to compensate for) the fact that they just cant ride it...
