it depends what type of riding you're going to be doing and what you're wearing on your feet.. i had some nice and pretty black ac's at the start of this years race season and ran the first cross country race and they were pretty beat up.. on the new bike i got 2 weeks ago i went with polished nerfs and have 2 races on them and they look tons better

then again if you are going to be out in the desert and just wearing tennis shoes, should hold up forever lol
