honda 450r hood question

ok i tried to search this but couldnt find the answer i was looking for so im gonna buy a honda 450r vented hood i was wondering how it would fit and if i would fit, i realize i have to cut out the headlight mount and what no but would the hood be to wide or anything? i can never get my ebay links to work so here is a picture of the hood, oh and if anybody had pictures of it on your 400ex post em up, and i have a 2001 EX

depends what year the 450 is and what year the ex is. if the ex is 05 or newer they have the exact same body and frame work as the 05-06 450r. im not sure if the 07 and newer R is the same as the 05-06 but i think so so id try it, or measure all the spots where you mount it to the frame and plastics then ask for the same spots measured on the R hood. if its te same ur good

I have a 2001 ex so ill have to cut the headlight mount out i already no this , in just concerned on the width

fourwerx makes a carbon fiber hood not exactly the same as the one your looking at but still pretty nice check it out on their webiste

the 250r hoods mount up almost exact, after you cut out the headlights

yea ive seen the 250r hoods and didnt like them as much as this one, i think ill go ahead and order it and try it out

sorry the 05 ex has the same frame as the 04-05 r and probably the same as the 06 and newer too, never had one to look at
