Cam question.

I want to buy a new cam for my 01 400ex... i heard that either stage 1 or stage 2 hotcams are eithe more power or more speed.. i have no idea... im a car and truck guy. lol.. which would be better to get?

i can take any stock 400ex in the area with mine so i think its board over like 20 or 30 so i might get stage 2 cause there bout the same price.
