Rebuild Idea's

I know it is early to be getting ready for a winter rebuild but I buy items when I have the extra $$$. My body is going to be yellow. I am trying to figure out what color will look good when I powder coat my chassis.

Something that will look good. Maybe a dark purple color.


Also what other items should I replace with the winter rebuild.

I already bought these items and are trying not to use them until the rebuild.

PD Chain
PD motor gear and spur gear
Carrier bearings
Carrier Lock nut (aftermarket)

I plan on going with the better piston. Possibly to maybe a big bore option. Not a 440 however.

I noticed some oil leaking from around the headgasket area so I decided to replace it. I tore down the top of the engine and I found out it was a stock bore and piston. Gonna leave that in there for now.

While I was working on my atv outside someone pulled u pand was telling me that I could ride on his property anytime I would like. He has it set up for a practice track for endurance woods racing.

He looked at my head and and he is taking it to a freind to get ported and polished, new valve stem seals, and lap the valves.

I might go ahead and get a HD timing chain and a new cam while I am inside of the motor. I am thinking a stage 1 cam with a sparks key.

I cleaned up the engine covers and painted them with hi temp ceramic paint. They turned out very well. I am going for a black out look on some parts and yellow on the body.

me and you are going for the same look. i got yelow plastic. what brand of paint and where you get it? is it rattle can or spray gun. Ide love to do this over the winter. i shouldnt have to rebuild the motor cause its fresh, but ide like to powercoat my frame and black everything out that i can.

It is that plasti coat high temp/ceramic paint. Kinda expensive
