So after 5 months of waiting to get a chance to dial my 450 carb, I finally finished it up today. It is very nice! I ended up with a 180 main, 52 pilot (series 26), 2.5 turns out on the f/a screw and 3rd notch from the top on the needle. It came out good and runs very nice again so I am happy with it. Steve:D

I suppose so, if anything I got to mess with my machine and get some new parts lol. It is hard to really judge a really good comparison since it has been so long since I rode it with the 400 carb on it. It does pull nicely now though. It seems that i have lost a bit of low end though imo. steve

Man I hate losing low end But did you pick it up on the top ??? Maybe drop your front gear down a tooth ???

It seems to run great up top still, it seems that the 450 carb likes to be opened up to start letting it rip quite a bit. By no means is there any real drop off in low end though. The stage 1 is great for low end, I have not messed with my stage 2 yet and may end up selling it since i like it how it is again. I hope to race a raptor 700 pretty soon, It will surely stay with it if not stay ahead of it for quite a while after riding the 700 a for a while. steve

You should have no problem smoking a Craptor. Good luck and enjoy.

I may even see how much more low end i can get back with a bit of turning in on the f/a I kept it a bit rich on the pilot to be able to cover it while idling for a bit. A bit richer will help to keep it a bit cooler. It doesnt pop or anything so it is good to go. I may turn it in just a bit to make it pop ever so slightly just to keep it cleaned up when letting off the gas. I will see how it goes as it gets a bit warmer too. It was only 50 out today so it is still a bit cool compared to 80 and 90% humidity. lol. Usually I dont ride if it is that hot anyway. lol. steve

Yup This weather is Special. I adjust the F/A screw quite frequently here in Mich. also. They couldn't of picked a better place to put the damned thing either lol. If the starter wasn't there we'd be all set.
