Hey

I have to buy pistons for my CT Racing 350cc Pro X

Pistons sold in ESR or at CT Racing are identical?

ESR is less expensive. For what reason?

These are all ways of pitons Wiseco not?

Sorry for my bad English.

Thank you

I would make sure they were the same some ct piston crowns were milled to allow clearance at the cylinder head.

yes ct makes their pistons into a flat top but you had the option when the kit was bought, you should look at the piston in there i know ct uses a wossnier piston ive had one in a year now great piston no problems in my 363cc

You have a place to buy the pistons?

In CT racing I think it's very expensive!

That is right, you need to know if your piston in the engine is flat top or domed, because CT sold cylinders that used either one.

A domed piston wont work where a flat top was used before, not just installing it, not unless you have the head dome cut for clearance of the piston crown.

CT only has the Wossnor brand of pistons now & dont carry the Wiseco's anymore, so if your wanting a Wiseco, you'll need to check with ESR & get one of theirs.

Another thing you need to know, if your cylinder has the bridged exhaust port, the Wossnor piston from CT Racing or LA Sleeve, will have the three cooling holes drilled into it to cool the bridge, but the ESR Wiseco piston will have three indentions where the holes are suppose to go, but not be drilled all the way through the piston.
Reason for that, the new ESR cylinders have the oval exhaust port like the PV cylinders have, so no need for the three cooling holes in the piston.

This one for my cylinder not PV.

Now, for my cylinder PV.

Short of the ribs around the base of that head, it looks just like my cool head.

Ok, in the top pic, that is a Wiseco piston and is the special made flat top one that CT Racing offers. They call it their 5* dome.

I guess it is something about the pic, the optics of it or something, because that head beside the cylinder looks like a dome type squish area & not the one that would be flat for a flat top 5* piston.

The other pic, the cylinder still mounted on the crankcase, that is a Wiseco as well.
The J77F9 number at the top, indicates the stocking dealer that sold that piston, their customer piston number.
Number in the center, that indicates the size of the piston.
Part number for that piston, would be W330P8, & is a 2nd over size piston for the 350cc cylinder.

The chipped out place you see on the edge of the sleeve, right next to the inner o ring groove, that sometimes happens when the sleeve is bored out farther than its suppose to be bored.
The o ring itself, once the head is on & torqued down will press aginst the little lip & cause it to bust off.

Only way that can be repaired is if someone is a mighty good welder & then have it machined back to shape or either have the sleeve itself punched out & a new sleeve installed.
