shocks

i know most people are putting the trx 450r shocks on there 400's but are there any other stock shocks tha will fit on, like ltr, kfx, raptor, 700xx.........i am having a little trouble finding a set of trx450rs on ebay, most are all either fronts, or rear, i am looking to buy a set, that way they are all used the same and some arn't harder/softer.

any help is appreciated, still in high school so i have a limited income and i've got lots on my list,,, helmet, boots, shocks, a-arms, grab bar, plastics maybe.

i heard yfz450 shocks are the best to use.

it would be better if the shock modification wqas done with a milling machine.

are you going to have them re valved? just buy the cheapest ones you can if ur gonna have them done up. it wont matter then. it also depends on what u want to use them for, mx they say the yfz is the best set to use but i dont think you use the rear in that case, kfx either. i never heard anyone using rears from anything but the trx. the honda shocks are awesome, and if your having them done weather u use yfz trx or any others you will more than likely end up with the same ride. they are basicly the same shocks with dif valving and spring rates, and when u have someone rebuild them for your ability and weight, that will all change anyhow. think about it. if you just want to bolt on a full set front and rear the trx is the only one you can do it with. id save the money and rebuild the stock rear and get a set of trx shocks. and have them rebuilt. im saving for a rework on all 3 of mine.

alright, i do have some time to think about it though. where i ride has woops, trails, and what ever else you can think of, but im not racing and getting 30' of air or anything, most like 5'

i just put a set of 450r fronts on my ex and it is way better. i do a lot of jumping and ditch banging some track riding but compared to the stockers i love the 450r fronts. im tyring to find out if a ltr rear fits the ex cuz i have one i can use.
