Heat shield question

Just wondering if anyone knows if the heat shields changed over the years?
Are the 04-05 dif. than the 06?

We went and got out what we were pretty sure was our 06 Honda shield in the shed, but it was different from one that a freind brought over .. the 06 one was shorter??
Just making sure we havent totally lost our minds .:p LOL

We are wanting to put one on my Daughters LTR and my Sons Raptor 250. Looks like it will fit nicely on the 250 but a little more work for the LTR 450.

Almost positive they switched between 05- and 06/07. My 05's had an indent/groove in the center, that wasnt cut out. The 07 of my buddys had that cut out.
