View Full Version : Swingarm bearings...

Here is my problem:
I made the mistake of paying a shop to drill my swingarm bolt out. They did a poor job. Upon disassembly, a small part of the swingarm broke off. It is the lip that holds out the outermost bushing (I will take pictures later if neccessary). I can get this welded back pretty cheap and perfectly locally.

But I think the needle bearings are stil stuck inside the swingarm. I have looked at schematics but I still am not 100% sure. There seems to be some kind of lip inside where the swingarm bolt should go through. I have heard of people on here having to use a hydrolic press to get the needle bearings out. Is it possible that I might need to do this?

I have cleaned up the area inside, and there are metal shavings everywhere. It looks like the reminents of either bearings or bushings, I'm not sure.

Thanks in advance
