alright here it is. Replaced the cylinder and rings on my 440 about 6 months ago. Rode the bike a few times without a hitch. bike ran great. the other day i started it for the first time in as many months. loud clicking and some smoke. Oil is full. took it for a short spin. no changes. Adjusted the valves according to the forum on this site. a little out of wack. restarted it and its a little better but not much. also bike seems a little harder to start. Has a HCSTG2 cam.

any suggestions? going to croom, fl. next weekend.

when you adjusted your valves did you make sure the engine was at top dead center???
