i bought this air box off ebay and i received it this morning but it doesnt fit or look like its even for a 400ex. this is the ebay item number 300415446814 Thanks for any help

If it doesn't fit, then send the seller a message and let him know he made a mistake, he should be willing to work with you to fix it.

I have one that looks close but mine is top mounted and also has a battery mount in it. It is made by pingry

Right at the moment quad is stripped and frame is being powder coated.I should be able to give a pick next weekend. I will be picking up my frames on next friday. My box fits in factory location just drops in from the top. It looks like that one bolts in from the sides. Send amessage to the seller and ask him. I buy a ot and sell a lot on ebay. I answer all questions. Some people are asses but some VERY helpfull as I am.

looks like it should fit just fine. i just dont get how it mounts it has no tabs on it to rest on the frame. its a nice small box, might have to make your owe mounting system. it was a steel for what u payed for it. make it work brother.

you bought an airbox for a 450r. see the small holes in the side with the rub marks around them? thats where it bolts to the subframe and then the way the carb boot and snorkel boot is shaped looks just like a 450r. i'd be tryin to get my money back unless you want to fab some mounts

I don’t know if I like the battery in the air box, I like to be able to just take the one screw out and pop it off without taking the battery loose.

I seen this box on ebay also, i want to go with one that holds the battery and other elec components. They look so clean with the wiring and battery hidden.
