ok i have 06 yfz, its been sitting for 6 months. it wouldnt start, found the carb and tank full of slimming rotton ethenal gas. cleaned the tank and took carb apart to clean really good. the bike starts now and idles ok, you can cruise around ok but if you get on it hard it feels like the carb runs out of fuel and the engine stalls, it will restart after it sits for a few minutes. i/ve taken the carb off and cleaned several times, i dont think the float is sticking. HELP PLEASE

Did you pull the petcock out when you cleaned the tank? If not the screens on it probably junked up.

Does it stall when you just slam on the throttle, or does it stall at high revs?

it will idle around all day but after riding at high speed for like 10-20 seconds it will stall out.

All header pipes on 4 strokes will glow. It's ok if it's idling as long as it goes away when he starts riding. If it doesn't go away when riding then he needs to richen the jetting up some. Either drop the clip down one on the needle or go up a size or two on the main.

ya it did die down when he was warming it up actually, so what would cause the throttle bog when he slams it? some of the reasons listed above?

Yfz's are known for having a bog when you stab the gas. Look it up on yfzcentral. There is a ziptye mod that you can do and also replace the leak jet with a #35.
