Im starting to look for a carb for my CT350, i have a lectron 38mm right now but i feel its to small. The quad at first is gonna be a play quad but once my other R is done it will be a flat track/TT only quad

I run a 38mm airstryker on my 350's and like it for the woods. If your looking for something a bit bigger and using it for high rev application, I'd look at a 39mm Keihin. I had a 40.5mm on a 400cc pilot motor once and it also did real well, but she liked to drink the fuel!!

This may not be the time or place to discuss this but I've been curious about it for awhile. If you look at the FCR carbs on the 450r they are 39-40mm, tell me again why a 2 stroke can't run a 4 stroke carb? I know about the different air velocities etc... but those can be changed. Is there some underlying principle that I'm overlooking, like scaveging, or air/fuel mixtures? I've searched this forum on this and read mostly, "...that's a dumb idea...", etc... nothing really stated the why's... ...just food for thought, carry-on. :D

I'm running a 40.5 on my 310 and would never look back , or should I say I'm always looking back at the others now.

The 40.5 is probably what ill end up running then, ill save the 38 for my woods quad . For those of you running the 40.5 what jetting do you have?

i know you can run a two stroke carb on a four stroke but i dont know if it works the other way.

im guessing the accelerator pump and butterfly would have something to do with it.

you coulsd probably have your lectron bored or have them change the set-up to suite your big bore. kevin is the man to speak with at lectron. he was a big help for me.
