ok. 2006 er. wouldnt turn motor over. fixed the gear and now it turns over great but wont fire or start. i tried to start it with no oil in the clutch side just to make sure it runs but it didnt, is there a sensor that wont let it start with no oil in that side?

Not sure why you would want to start without any oil in the clutch.:confused: But, no there's no sensor to keep it from cranking without oil. When was the last time you had valves checked? Did it crank fine before the starter clutch went out?

x2 did it run before? and is the key on and kill switch... make sure spark plug wire is on and the plug isn't fouled...

check spark like they said if you have spark it could be a fuel issue try a little spray in air cleaner and that will answer your doubts the pump gas in a plastic tank goes bad in weeks if the fuel was in the carb for long it might need a cleaning
