i have a 2003 400ex and loaned it to a friend (i know bad idea never again). any way when i gave it to him the clutch was perfect and had a feel all the way from the bar to being all the way out. now when i got it back there is barley any "throw" on the clutch maybe a half an inch when closest to being all the way out. when i got it back i adjusted it to make it better but its still not the same. i know he didn't touch the adjustment because he had no tools with him. what can you do to a clutch in an hour of riding to kill it that bad?

Not knowing how to ride it.. He might have totally wiped the discs out.. Might be time for a new clutch... :(

What about the perch adjustment? don't need tools for that... and curiousosity always kills the cat....

He might of been dumping the clutch and slippin it for fun. He might of done it alot and smoked the clutch. I dump it every now and then but not all day
