I apologize for the picture quality, I'm nursing a camera thats on its way out.
Here are a couple pics of the bike and the motor bolted it. Its not very put together because I have a bunch of parts getting anodized, and I'm trying to finish designing the intake. I'm getting close to the point of powder and assembly though.
Laegers frame, fliptop, cr500 link, protrax frontend
2009 Honda Crf450 fuel inj.
I designed all the mounts in solidworks, On the headstays the idea was to utilize the interior mounts that were already present. I think it turned out pretty good. The uppers are 10mm. The front are 12mm, lowers are also 10mm, I tapped the one mount so it bolts in without having to use another nut, also safety wired.

Upper mounts, Front bolt goes in from the inside, Rear bolt is the tank bolt, tapped for easy assembly.

last one for now. The intake is going to be pretty unique, I should have it done pretty soon.

The big question is: How are you doing the fuel pump?

Its going in a custom aluminum tank. Originally I considered using an external fuel pump but decided against it. I just don't want all the clutter. It looks like a mess at the moment but it will be streamline when its finished. Trust me the intake is much more difficult then the fuel pump issue. There is very limited space available with the cr500 link shock in the back, and dealing with a 50mm throttle body instead of a 39mm carb.

Nice work so far!! I like the billet mounts, very clean.

It looks like your bottom mount uses the same cross bar and you just made different tabs?

It would be greatly appreciated if you could take a picture from either side I'd like to see how low the motor sits in the frame.

pinitatv, The motor is as low as it could go without dropping below the frame line, basically. I didn't want the drainbolt to be so low it could be demadged, and obviously I'll be building a skidplate so it had to be out of the way. I also left enough clearance to be able to pull the sidecovers without removing the motor. I'll take some more pics this week though I need a better camera.

Thanks guys, it is coming along. Its a bit slow as I have alot going on right now but I'm really trying to push forward with it. It will be done right I promise that. Its got all the goods too.
I rebuilt and valved all the axis shocks, The rear has the new Pds system in it. Every bearing and bolt will be new, I'm using oem bolts for it.
Axle is a new dominator 2 ,got a precision stabilizer, flexbars, dasa. New Rath monster pegs, and bumper, custom hump seat... Ahhh can't wait.

I am looking for a set of nerfs for my son's Walsh CRF build. I would assume that the Laeger frame is similar to the Walsh for pegs mounts.

Did you have modify the nerfs to fit the "pro pegs" location?

When I contact Rath in email, he said that they did not make a nerf bar for the Walsh chassis.

You know I'm not to sure on that you can measure it and that will tell you , I've only had lsr, and laeger chassis so I couldn't confirm the walsh but the other two are identical. 16 1/4in center to center on 1 1/8 tube. I called them just the other day and they are making a set with monster pegs. They seem to be about the only option besides AC and I just want something different. Good luck.

Just curious how much you got the motor for? Was it new or used? OR did you have to part out a bike to get it?

Kinda wondering what it would cost to do this.

New baby due beginning of may.. and now when I'm almost getting to a point of wrapping up this bike I tear my acl/mcl at the dunes on the dirtbike... damn two wheelers. You should make a trip down in the cool season for some mx'n and maybe some dunes. take care...
