Won't start in gear

I have an 07 trx300ex. It use to start in gear but we went for a ride today and now it won't. U have to go to neutral. Dirt in the switch?

my switch was broke last time that happened 2 me. clutch switch.

if you take apart your clutch lever assembly theres a little black safety switch wich alows you to start in gear i think if might be clutch ware because my clutch got worn from a circle to a circle with an oval coming out the side
