Guys, I am thinking of ripping (figuratively) into the motor to put in some mods and was just wondering what you all had done to yours. Anything from getting the motor out, to where you took it, or did it yourself? Just anything and everything you can think of I would appreciate to hear. Anything to be avoided or recommended? Thanks in advance.:)

I have a Powroll big bore kit too... It comes with a high flow rocker arm and it's a good mod to do. Only puts it .20 over though... Port and polish it and thats about all you can do.... I want to do a cam also, but not sure if one is made for a 250EX. (???) To be honest, I haven't checked on it... Otherwise, I have a T-4 exhaust pipe and header, 300EX carb, K&N Jet Kit, K&N air filter. Moves a lot quicker than when she was stock!

01 250EX : I can't get rid of my quad until someone wants it, LOL... When and if the time comes, it is gone... For right now though, I'll keep on adding mods and riding it...

As for the Carb swap... not hard to do, pretty much bolts right it... I'll take a look at it tomorrow to tell you exactly what I did. It's been a while since I did it, so I forget it all...

siberthugd, How can I get a hold of 300ex carb? Do you get yours used or what? Will I have to make any mods or adjustments when I add the carb besides a rejet? I hadn't thought about changing the carb, but I know that the 300's is like 10mm more than the 250's, heh, heh, heh.
About the Powroll kit...did you install it yourself? Were there any major hassles or things you would do different? Are you satified with what you got and what you paid? Thanks again man!:D

Yeah man, I'd buy one used... As for the Powroll Kit, I got it done by a shop... Didn't want to f*@k it up, ya know? Go to www.Powroll.com and then call your local shop. It only cost me $250 including the kit...

FROM A DIFFERENT SOURCE, I THINK SIBERTHUGD, DONT KNOW WHAT HES IS TALKING ABOUT. FIRST OFF THE POWROLL KIT IS A .080 NOT A .020 AND THE PRICE OF $250.00 FOR THE KIT IS GARBAGE UNLESS HE BOUGHT ONE WITH MISSING PARTS. AND FOR PUTTING A 300EX CARB ON A 250EX, IT CANT BE DONE USING THE FACTORY BOOT. BUT HE DOESNT REMEMBER HOW HE DONE IT. OK SOMETHING NOT RIGHT HERE, I REMEMBER EVERYTHING EVER DONE TO MY QUAD AND HOW I DID IT.
