I figure 250R arms will fit on a 400ex. Are 250R arms shorter. I have a friend selling a set of +2 arms off his 250R.. Will they fit my 400 and how wide will it be.

250r arms will not work on a 400ex...at least its no bolt on procedure. My buddy had both quads and he did some measuring and their not the same. You will definitely need to do some modifying to get them on.

I have done it several times. Issues that need to be addressed.

1. A-arms need to be cut down since the mounts at the frame have a smaller opening.
2. Due to a differant spindle angle the 400ex takes a shorter upper a-arm. All the ones I did were Leager a-arms and had enough adjustment in the top so that it was no big deal.
