anyone run this type of pipe and silencer combo? i bought a used set-up and wondering what this combo would be good for. i mainly ride woods and some flat track.

i have one and its ok. it actually comes on later than i would want but its a 2-stroke and you have to shift alot anyways. to clearify. its definitly not a "torque" type pipe. i was told it is the best xc/woods pipe so i bought it.

Its what i use for XC. I like it but I only have the stock pipe i used for racing last year to compare it too.

jcs003, you don't like your trx6/7 for XC/torque? that's good to know, I kind of thought if I came across one eventually and I was in the right frame of mind to buy I might just do so. My SST is actually a very good pipe for torque, I've been impressed with it since the rebuild.

my xc type porting could be a bit more towards the mid-range also. i had an fmf fatty before and that seemed to make the power only for a short amount of time. the trx-6 definitly pulls stronger than the fmf and a bit longer. i would like a pipe that pulls good from low rpm in 2-3-4 gear with no aggressive shifting.

maybe thats how big bores solve that issue.

I run a a trx6 pipe with and esr 310 kit. My buddy runs a high rev paul turner with a 265. Mine pulls much more than his the the low rpm range. I run mainly woods and harescrambles and I don't think I'll change the pipe any time soon.

hey bigE, where d you flat track at? i'm up in greenville and have run down at blanket hill but thats a bit far and too small of a track for the amount of quads that usually show.

don't do much flat track anymore except in a friends track. ran there a couple times but like you said way too far to drive and not many racers!! mainly woods and hairscrambles now. you want to ride some day e-mail me.
