Here's a project I've been working on for a few months now, let me know what you think.

By the way if anyone has any interest in it let me know I may be willing to part with it....

How does it handle? It looks like the seat is really high and has too much rake in the forks.

Yeah I'm trying to make room in the shop I have a few projects on my plate right now and this is taking up valuable space. 97's KTM is coming along pretty well I'm sure he'll post some picts one of these days. I also have another crf project in the works so I need some room.

I normally operate on 2 or 4 wheels so it handles a little different than what I'm used to riding. I've looked at pictures of yours (Black Sheep) and others and mine is for sure different. The rake doesn't seem to bother it but the rear end is a little short, I'll probably build a swing arm that's about 2" longer to improve that a bit. As for seat height it's almost exactly the same as a stock 450r the difference is the pegs are a little lower and of course the 450r is on 20" tires. I don't think it handles bad but I'm not a 3 wheeler guy and don't have anything to compare it to.

what kind of swingarm and fork is that ?

The swing arm is most like a laeger crf but it uses a stock crf450 linkage for the suspension instead of the cr500 link. The forks are right off the crf bike and the triple tree was a custom machined piece.

The frame is an 03 (I have several more) and the motor is an 05 that's just how it worked out I used the 03 motor in my walsh.

Very nice work on the trike. I bet a lot of people are surprised to see it when that rolls out the trailer. Looks fun but I would be scared:eek2:

Jonny

I haven't had it out yet but I will in the next few weeks. The people that have been over to the shop do seem surprised as they should its a hand full to ride.

woods

I know after doing this one I could do it will anything, Yamaha, KTM, KAWY, CR500 etc but I've got a few other things on my plate right now that are of more interest to me so if you know anyone that could be interested in the trike let them know about it.

How are those front forks working, they generally are too long and too soft.

i thought the forks were fine for my set up right now and if I change the rake I will just shorten the forks a little.
