Well, we did not have any signal out of Steele Creek and we sure dont like having just the GNCC lap board to be our coverage so we are trying it again here in South Carolina. As long as we can get some signal, there will be some updates and live coverage. If not, I will apologise in advance!

The track crew was busy getting things completed as dusk rolled in. A few changes to the layout this year so hopefully everyone gets some fresh courseto run on here and there

Pappy

Adam McGill and Chris Bithell both will be on the hunt tomorrow as the issue that knocked them both out of the race at Steele Creek has been resolved.

Brian Wolf was having some fun with his son as the day of travel came to an end.

Pappy

Infact the pit area was alive with giggles and smiles everywhere I looked!

Pappy

Jarrod McClure was pumped. His new Roll Design front end is installed and he says watch out now! Major changes this week has his Polaris ready to rock and he has already been posting solid finishes so maybe he can score a spot on that podium!

Its off to bed for me and the kid, long day of work ahead of us tomorrow catching all the action for you all. See you tomorrow!

Jeremy Dudding / U2

Michael Swift / ?

Zackowski / ?

Women went into the woods: Angel Atwelll, Lexi Coulter, Traci Cecco.

Pappy

Zack Zakowski big lead in his class.

Simmons and Pritchard are very close.

Simmons is leading the overall.

Pappy
04-10-2010, 09:02 AM
As riders start checking in for lap #2 it looks as though Dave Simmons is still the overall leader.

Angel Atwell is leader in the women's class with Traci Cecco running an extremely close 2nd.

Pappy
04-10-2010, 09:09 AM
Simmons has HUGE lead!!

Maybe something wrong with Pritchard, has not checked in yet for lap #2.

Traci Cecco is on the grab bar of Angel Atwell.

Track conditions: Dusty in the fields, Woods looks good!
Lappers are starting to come into play.

Pappy
04-10-2010, 09:28 AM
Looks like Simmons is still holding that huge lead.

Angel Atwell, now followed by Kristen Atwell and Traci Cecco is currently running third. Not sure what happened, hoping to have updates from the track soon.

Awaiting for the rest of the racers to check in after this lap #3.

Pappy
04-10-2010, 09:39 AM
Straight from the track update.

Ladies are running up front and looking strong.
Not sure what happened to Traci, but looks strong and running a tight third in the women's class.

Simmons still checking out on the rest of the pack. Strong overall
lead!

Still no sign of Pritchard.

Zakowski still in class lead, but Swift and Beasley have hooked up and are running strong together. Putting in a good run on Zakowski. Zakowski trying to hold them off.

Pappy
04-10-2010, 10:19 AM
Looks like Simmons is going to be our overall winner.

Watching live score and it seems that they are going to have 5 laps total for this race.

Will post more when I hear from our sources at the track.

Pappy
04-10-2010, 10:22 AM
Looks like the women have checked in.

Angel Atwell, followed by Kristen Atwell, with Traci Cecco in third.

We are having communication difficulties, however, I did receive an update on Glen Pritchard. He is alright, but wrecked after lap #1 and was out the rest of the race. Hoping to have more updates soon. Trying to work out our kinks before the pros go.

Pappy

Bryan Cook takes the hole shot followed by Taylor Kiser.

Josh Kirkland took the hole shot for XC2 class.

There was a fist fight at the start of the college A row after a wreck. Will update later.

Half a lap in on lap one we have Cook leading.

I was told it was Zach Strong. Cody got pics of it:p

Hope Pritchard heals up quick, word was that he broke his collar bone:(

It was some good racing, but the damn dust hurt alot of folks. There wasnt alot of room for passing as it was, and the dust made it almost impossible to make things happen, you literally had to be on the grab bar of the lead rider or you could forget about it.

Lots of new course, very new look to Big Buck in many ways but alot of the same.

Thought it was cool they announced Bill's name at the start. BJ said he is doing ok, and should be coming home today or tomorrow so thats great news.

Tired here, long day. Will start working on galleries in the morning

Fun course, one of my favorites on the year so far. I got stuck on the first lap and never could get a rhythm second lap ended up going down hard. Broke a few ribs, dislocated my hip, and broke a few fingers. I'm crazy sore right now but hoping to somehow be able to run at Lorettas.

Thanks for the coverage!

Ken Robey was kind enough to pass along the rest of the story as it were"

Glen "Jody" Pritchard was injured severly in a bad crash during the morning race at Big Buck, SC. He was traveling through the "mine field" as we racers call it, its a field full of cut-off stumps, and he hit a small one that was in the trail. It threw him and his quad off of the track into the brush and while trying to recover, he slammed into a large stump which sent him cartwheeling through the air. He is currently in St. Mary's Hospital in Huntingdon, W.Va. He sustained a broken collarbone, seven broken ribs and he broke his left leg in several places. Please keep Jody and his family in your prayers, he is going to have a long recovery.

Hang tough Glen, we are praying for a speedy recovery for you! If you guys need anything just say the word

No kidding :( I've had no luck in any shape form or fashion when it comes to racing this year. Went and got some meds today, let the docs look me over. Cracked 2 ribs, hip has a nasty bruise, broke my pinky, jammed my thumb, and took a good shot to the kidneys. Was told if I take it easy I'll be feeling good again in a couple weeks. :macho

Well, people with common sense back off and slow down, I did not see much of that LMAO! I hated seeing all the riders hurt, but it can and does happen.

This was the first Big Buck round that we havent left with broken bones, stitches or a destroyed machine.....kind of glad we did not race it LOL

The course looked like it was fun to race on, just rough as usual. Welcome to GNCC racing:D

An update for the folks wondering how Glen Pritchard is doing....

The good news is that he is in good spirits and should be coming home soon. As long as the rest of the testing and such goes well he could possibly be back home this weekend which i'm sure will be a great relief to him and his family.

Glen is looking at 6 weeks of recovery with the extent of his injuries so he will deffinatley miss a few rounds of racing.

The update to his injury was that his pelvis and the top of his femur were broken. This means he cant "Gyrate" like Elvis for quite awhile!

Please keep Glen and his family in your prayers as they will be needing alot of support in the coming weeks.

(I also heard the rumors and I cant say if they are really true. I havent heard of bionics being installed just so he can have an advantage on Dave Simmons:devil: but you never know!)

Glen when you get around to reading this, get well soon buddy, we are all pulling for you!
