how would you rather see a 400ex set up?

So what is everyone's preference on seeing a 400ex set up? MX, XC, trails, drag, flattrack, etc. My personal is MX since im just way into that more than any other racing or riding but trails are fun.

does anyone have any pics of an EX set up for flattrack? Im considering buying the stuff to set mine up on weekends for it since theres a decent short TT track about 2 hours away, which I think I could give it hell trying to keep up with the 450's on it. There is only 1 long section they would pull me but I think I may have enough bottom end to keep up with them through the rest, possibly pass

Search the 400ex forum for kickstart conversion. There was a guy running a 460 stroker with a kickstart setup for flat track. Apparently his setup was ridiculously powerful for a 400ex.

i find that alot around here. i have a mx setup trail/XC quad. lol its wide and ready for mx with a tire change. but i run 23/22 tire setup for the woods. 14/39 gears, puts me very close to stock gearing on 22s. i drop to 19s or 18s in the back and 20s up front shes all balls. ready for the track.

I really like xc and mx 400ex's alot.

But when you see a 400ex thats drag ready, not like mine...lol.

I mean the ones with extended swingarms, nos bottles, motor swaps, drag fenders, struts.

I like those better then any banshee, raptor, 450.

Mine was setup for a mix of mx/trails, with a drag type motor for racing 450s and banshees out on the trail, then the ride spots disappeared, so now the closest place to ride is a drag strip thats a hour away, so I went full drag motor...lol.

i like xc/trails because you kind of get a mix of mx and stock look. im not personally real big with the over the top ridiculous mods but nevertheless i still like to look at them, but if i had to vote xc/trails and that is the main riding i do too..

well i was working towards an mx build, but after the wreck i'm gonna build an xc quad. i figure that if i crash this often, i'll make it as tough as i possibly can:p

mx but i like the trail looks too. xc if done right is cool looking also. Actually it is a 400ex so any look is a good look as long as it has old style fenders it is good to go. lol. steve
