i just got a used white brothers full exhaust for my 07 450r. it all looks like it's in great shape.
when i bolt the headpipe to the motor it is leaking a little from the bottom, i have tried adjusting it different ways and nothing i do seems to help, it's not a major leak i would just prefer it not to leak at all.

does anyone have any suggestions on what i can do or something i can get in order to stop the leak.

thanks.

Did you replace the copper gasket when you installed it?

so i didn't replace any gasket. should that have been there when i took off the stock or would it have been with the aftermarket, where could i find this gasket?

Look up inside, around the edge of the exhaust port. You will see a flatened copper gasket. Pick it out with a scrip or a screwdriver. Replace it with a new one. Honda dealer or a motorcycle shop should have it.

hopefully that will fix my problem, does it suggest doing that when you buy a new exhaust? thanks for the info.

Its a crush washer. Needs to be replaced everytime you remove the headpipe. I didn't one time and it ended up coming loose and started back firing on decel really bad.

sometimes you can get away without using a new one for a small time if you dont have one on hand.
