400ex muffler on 300ex?

I haven't been able to find much information on this. I found one thread asking about a full 400ex exhaust being put on a 300ex, but I'm just curious about the muffler itself. I found an awesome deal here locally on an HMF slip-on for a 400ex and was wondering if it would fit my 300ex. If anyone has any info on this I would appreciate it.

I have a 250x and my buddy has a 400ex and the stock slip on exhausts are not even close to fitting.

i thought 400ex has dual headers,, and 300ex has just 1. how is that gonna hook up?

he is talking about the muffler not the header
