400 will only run on choke? help

So just recently i put a hot cam stage 1 in my quad. It wont run right without the choke. It will still start without the choke but if you give it gas it just bogs out. Help me?

did you rejet the bike, or do any other motor work to the bike. you may have a timing issue also. you may want to adjust your fuel ratio to a lil leaner, sounds like your running a lil rich.

Actually if it were a fuel issue and it only runs with the choke on it would be running lean not rich.

yes it is true, i thought about it backwards... but yes it may be runnig lean... also, it could be a dirt filter, had that problem a while back also.

I would say timing.

fuel prob. sounds like the clip for the needle came off the slide and the needle is sitting down in the main jet
