400ex rear shock length? Need new setup for xc.

I need to know the stock 400ex rear shock length.

I read its 15.5 inches or 16 inches.

Mine is 14.5 inches I think its shorter then stock for TT racing.

Also what length should I run with a elka or gt thunder link setup.

I need to swap my rear setup out so I can trail ride it a bit with out bucking all over.

Also will a 250r shock work? with stock link or diffrent link?

Will a 450r shock work?

Use the search engine at the bottom of the 400ex forum.

try to do a little research before posting, there is alot of threads here about what your asking.

also your rear shock is adjustable, thats why your measurements are a lil off, or you could have a different shock.

if you ask a question thats been asked a thousand times, no one will reply.

a 450r shock will work but if yours is shorter for TT and such, let me know because I want it.
