hi, i had a problem with my spark, and figured out that it was the cdi box, so i went down to the bike shop and they found me a cdi with the same plugs, so i put it on and it fied up and it now runs fine, would you say i should get a proper trx250r cdi or will that one be ok?

you need to make sure that the cdi is the correct one for a trx250r.

I'm not trying to be a jerk, but is this a legitimate question??

I'd say refer back to question #1. You can't just run any CDI off any bike/quad and expect it to work without any problems.

Again, I ain't trying to be jerk, I'm just trying to help you understand that some things aren't worth trying.
