Just picked this up this morning. I've wanted one all my life and finally found this.

2007 R6 with 900 miles. It's pretty much all stock except for flushmounts and stuff and the thing is mint.

You need to fix your front forks, because they are way to high through the clamps...unless the rear is dropped as well. You do not want to be riding an R6 with bad geometry, cause you're gonna kill yourself.

Congrats. She must have really lowered that thing. they dont corner as well when lowered that much. Raise it back up if you can. Very nice color.

Same here...except I already have a bike...2 actually (had 3 or 4 at one time). It's weird though, I hadn't ridden since last september, and really didn't have an urge to ride at all. Took one out after changing the back tire the other day and I had a PERMA-SMILE the whole time I was on it...lol.

Good luck with your bike purchase!

Also Nice bike jesseweaver!

looks good. Makes my miss my R6 and my gsxr. I'd like to buy a bike, but if I buy a streeter my parents are kicking me out. They tolerate the dirt bikes, but after I totaled my gsxr, they won't let me have a street bike. Some day I'll get another one. Personally I like those new ducati 748's in pearl white.

Its actually the opposite...by lowering the front end, you are decreasing your rake and causing oversteer, making it easier to corner...dangerously easy actually, but quite unstable on straightaways.

See if i got one i would ride it everywhere. for gas savings and for my daily fix sense i cant always ride my quad.

I've got a Texas Ironhorse Chopper right now, but that thing is just a hoss to take places. takes a 10 point turn around if you get in a tight squeeze.

I used to have a Katana 600, fun to ride, but kinda slow. nothing compared to a real 600

hahaha nice. Putting miles on her already.

My parents are completlly against a bike, in anyshape or form, but I think im going to finance a 2010 ninja 250. They are sleek. Nothing powerful, but at least it will be something.

If it's your first bike I say go for it. My buddy has an '09 Ninja 250 and loves it. I took it for a spin and it's not a bad bike at all. Of course I love doing 140 down the interstate on my CBR.

and i raised the bike back up and it feels so much different, it seems like it doesn't handle nearly as good.

Was the rear lowered as well? If not, check your sag numbers. You should be somewhere around 28-30mm in the rear, and 40-42mm in the front.

Once you get the geomentry right, the bike will handle great.

I wouldn't start on a bike that is that underpowered! At least grab a Ninja 500, GS500f or the Ninja 650R . If you've ridden a 450 quad or 250f 450r dirt bike you've rode something more powerful than that 250.

I just got my first bike about a month and a half ago (having NEVER rode a street bike PERIOD)... and got a CBR929RR:devil:

My wife had never driven a motorcycle before in her life (hell I don't think I have even seen her ride a bicycle). She had ridden my quad maybe 4 or 5 times to get used to the clutch. I bought her a GSXR 750 and she has learned on that, and has ridden it on the road.

I can't say I would generally recommend that for someone with an experience level like hers, BUT anybody that knows what they are doing on a dirt bike or sport quad (pretty much any of you on these forums), can easily handle any bike they would ever want.

I have a GSXR 1000, and although it's quite a bit more powerful than a smaller bike, it's not any harder to ride. The same common sense needs to be used on any sized bike you get, or you will get yourself into trouble.
